Introduction

For our english speaking friends we have compiled some hints to understand some parts of our internet pages even if they do not speak any german.

The Journey

In early January 2010 we made a ship cruise in the arabian gulf. We visited:

  • Dubai
  • Abu Dhabi
  • Bahrain and
  • Muscat (Oman)

Page  Märchen  describes the financial problems and show the planned artifical islands. Only the islands in black color on the map are complete.

Page  Burj Khalifa  talkes about of the worlds tallest building and that the Sheikh of Abu Dhabi made available 30 billions EURO to help Dubai out of the financial problems.

This page  Reichtum  shows the Sheikh Zayed Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world. Furthermore pictures of the Emirates Palace (5-star hotel), the shopping center Marina Mall and the splendoured boulevard Corniche are desplayed.
